Kun Aguero, the founder of KRÜ Esports, established the organization a year ago before he was forced to retire from his professional football career due to a heart condition while playing for Barcelona. Currently, KRÜ Esports only has teams competing in VALORANT (a shooting game) and Rocket League (a football game). However, the appearance of Messi and his significant financial contribution may help the organization expand into other esports such as LoL, CS2, and various electronic sports disciplines.
