It’s not an easy life for stray dogs living on the streets. Sadly, this is the reality for many pups out there. One dog in Greece was struggling with a leg injury and was frightened of humans, making his situation even more challenging. Fortunately, DAR Animal Rescue in Greece became aware of the dog’s condition and decided to lend a helping hand.
Ermioni and her squad headed to the area where the dog was spotted and were able to capture him. Initially, he was too scared to let them come near him, but they eventually managed to get him into a crate so they could transport him to see a vet. In a YouTube post, the rescuers at DAR stated that they were uncertain how the pooch got hurt, but they were certain that he was struggling to survive out on the streets with a severe injury. The canine was in agony, unable to move freely, and had to fend for himself by looking for food and water. It was a heart-wrenching sight for the DAR team.
After bringing the dog to the vet, he finally received the necessary assistance. The veterinarian cleaned and sewed up his wound with utmost care. Regular replacement of his bandages was done to facilitate healing and maintain sanitation. Finally, he was transferred to a foster home that would teach him how to live as a normal dog.
He was trained to become a well-rounded dog, comfortable with both indoor and outdoor environments, while also relishing human company, having the assurance of a fenced yard, and receiving consistent meals. DAR proudly announced that he now lives a contented life as a healthy, neutered, secure, joyful, and adopted pet.
